Day 11 — National Blog Posting Month.  On a lighter note, C. L. Dodgson had a stutter.  One of the theories out there is Lewis Carroll surrounded himself with armies of little girls because he had a bad stutter only around adults. I think it’s a weird theory because he lectured on mathematics at Oxford for 26 years.

Alice Liddell liked to visit Oxford University Museum where sat the Dodo (1651) by Jan Savery, a Dutch Golden Age painter. It was the inspiration for the Dodo character (Chapter 3) in Alice’s Adventures.

NOTE: I read somewhere Carroll characterized himself as the Dodo because he sometimes pronounced his last name as Do-do-Dodgson.
